Context

A Vietnam-based organisation with a large AWS estate defined in CloudFormation and many teams releasing services in parallel. Rahmat served as Cloud Infrastructure Lead.

Challenge

Infrastructure was described in many separate CloudFormation stacks with inconsistent patterns. Teams reinvented the same building blocks, reviews were hard, and releases carried more risk than they should. The organisation needed one standard without freezing delivery while it changed.

What Rahmat did

  1. Led an enterprise-wide migration from CloudFormation to Terraform, moving services incrementally while teams kept shipping.

  2. Established a centralised Terraform module registry so teams could reuse approved patterns for common infrastructure.

  3. Designed CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for blue/green deployments, making releases repeatable and quick to roll back.

  4. Set the review and versioning practices that let infrastructure changes move through the same workflow as application code.
